  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 can (14 oz) full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cubed beef and brown on all sides.
  2. Stir in chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add curry powder, cumin, turmeric, and cayenne pepper; cook for one minute.
  4. Pour in coconut milk, chickpeas, beef broth, and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper; stir well.
  5. Bring to a gentle simmer; reduce heat and let it cook for about 30–40 minutes until the beef is tender.
  6. For the naan, mix flour, yogurt, warm water, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl until soft dough forms.
  7. Roll out the dough into flat circles and cook on a preheated skillet over medium-high heat until bubbles form; flip to brown both sides.
