  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter (melted, plus more for layering)
  • 2 large Eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In another bowl, mix warm milk and eggs. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar, chocolate chips, and cinnamon.
  5. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces. Twist each piece before placing in a greased muffin tin.
  6. Cover the muffin tin and let the cruffins rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake cruffins for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool in the pan for approximately 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
